Product Description

Double-Conversion, Frequency Conversion, and a Chassis That Won't Eat Your Rack

Most rack-mount online UPS units force a compromise. You either get the protection you want and lose a chunk of rack space to an external battery pack, or you settle for a smaller unit that can't handle your load. The RTS Series takes a different approach. It's a true double-conversion UPS with the battery built into the same chassisno separate box to mount, no extra cables snaking through the cabinet. It's a rack/tower convertible design, so you can slide it into a 19-inch rack or stand it upright on a shelf. But the real story is what they managed to fit inside that compact frame: full online protection, plus a couple of capabilities you don't normally find in this class.

CVCF Mode: Rock-Solid Frequency When It Matters

One of those capabilities is Constant Voltage Constant Frequency (CVCF) operation. In a standard UPS, the output frequency tracks the inputif the grid wobbles from 50 to 49.8Hz, the output follows. That's fine for most IT gear. But some equipment demands an absolutely stable frequency reference: precision lab instruments, certain medical devices, or legacy telecom gear that drifts out of spec with even a small frequency deviation. Flip the RTS into CVCF mode and it locks the output frequency to a fixed setpoint regardless of what the input is doing. The voltage stays clean, the frequency stays put, and your finicky equipment stays happy.

Built-In Frequency Converter

Connected to that is the ability to use the RTS as a frequency converter. Feed it 50Hz, get 60Hz out. Feed it 60Hz, get 50Hz out. If you're setting up a test bench with imported equipment, deploying servers designed for a different grid standard, or running a mixed-frequency lab, this eliminates the need for a standalone converter box. It's all handled inside the UPS, and the output remains a pure sine wave through the double-conversion stage. No extra hardware, no additional points of failure.

True Online Protection Without the Bulk

Beyond those specialized modes, the RTS is a straightforward online double-conversion UPS for everyday rack duty. The inverter runs continuously, regenerating clean AC from the DC bus. There's no transfer time when the grid goes down because the load was already running on inverter power. For servers, switches, and storage arrays that log every power anomaly, that's the baseline.

Efficiency is helped along by a 3-level inverter designless switching loss, less heat. If the grid is clean and you want to save a few extra watts, ECO mode pushes efficiency even higher while keeping the inverter ready to snap back to double conversion the moment things get rough. Input power factor sits above 0.99, so the UPS pulls current cleanly from the wall without introducing harmonic junk into the building's wiring.

Wide Input Window, Generator Friendly

The input voltage range is 90V to 300V, and the frequency range is 40 to 70Hz. That's wide enough to ride through deep brownouts and swells without draining the battery. The UPS stays on utility power longer, preserving battery life for real blackouts. It's also generator compatiblethe wide frequency tolerance means it doesn't reject generator power as "unstable" and cycle between battery and bypass. It syncs, cleans the input through double conversion, and keeps delivering stable output. Cold start capability lets you fire it up from battery alone if the grid is completely dead.

Output That Uses Every Watt

Output power factor is 1.0, so a 1000VA unit delivers a full 1000 watts. That's a genuine match for modern IT equipment with active PFC power suppliesno derating games, no capacity left on the table because of a legacy 0.7 or 0.8 rating.

Display, Control, and Remote Options

The front panel features a full-color LCD with a multi-language menu. It's laid out so you can check input and output voltages, load percentage, battery status, and alarm logs without diving through nested screens. There's a Remote On/Off (ROO) option if you need to control the unit from a distanceuseful in colocation cages or unmanned sites.

For communications, the standard package includes RS232, USB, an EPO (Emergency Power Off) input, and an intelligent slot. If your monitoring setup calls for MODBUS, RS485, SNMP, or AS400, those are available as optional plug-in cards. One handy option is the HID USB card: plug it into a PC, and the operating system recognizes the UPS as a standard battery device. No extra software to install, no driver headachesjust plug and start monitoring.

Built for Real-World Environments

Inside, the main PCB is fabricated on an FR4 glass fiber substrate and receives a conformal coating. That coating seals out moisture and dust, reducing the risk of corrosion or conductive contamination that can kill a UPS in a humid or dusty environment. The chassis ventilation is designed to keep air moving without pulling in excessive debris. It's the kind of build quality that extends service life in places that aren't climate-controlled server hallswarehouse offices, factory-floor network closets, or outdoor-rated telecom cabinets.

Where the RTS Fits

The RTS Series covers the full range of standard IT rack applications, but with extra flexibility for sites that need frequency conversion or absolute frequency stability. Common deployments include:

Server racks and data center cabinets where space is tight

Test labs and R&D benches with mixed-frequency equipment

Medical imaging and diagnostic stations requiring precise frequency

Telecom shelters and base stations with imported gear

Industrial control panels that need clean, stable power

If you need a standard online UPS for a rack, the RTS delivers. If you need a UPS that also handles frequency conversion and CVCF mode without extra boxes, the RTS is the tool for the job. It's compact, it's efficient, and it doesn't ask you to compromise on protection or rack density.
