Product Description

When the Grid Drops to 60V and You Still Need Clean Power

There are places where the utility voltage doesn't just dipit collapses. Rural workshops at the end of a long distribution line. Factory sheds in industrial parks with overloaded transformers. Older commercial buildings where the wiring hasn't seen an upgrade since the 1970s. In these spots, a brownout that pulls the mains down to 80 volts or lower isn't a freak event; it's a Tuesday afternoon.

A regular UPS sees 85 volts, decides the grid is gone, and switches to battery. Then the voltage creeps back up to 100, the UPS switches back. Repeat a few dozen times a day, and you've got a dead battery bank and a very frustrated operator. The RS-LV Series is built to end that cycle. It's a true online double-conversion UPS with an ultra-wide input window that stretches from 60V to 145Vso when the grid sags to 65 volts, the rectifier doesn't flinch. It keeps pulling power, keeps the DC bus charged, and keeps your equipment running on regenerated, clean sine wave without touching the battery.

Double Conversion: No Transfer Time, No Grid Garbage

Because this is an online UPS, there's no transfer switch waiting to throw. The inverter runs continuously, rebuilding a perfect AC waveform from the DC bus. Your servers, network switches, PLCs, or point-of-sale terminals never see the raw utility. When the grid does fail completely, the battery takes over the DC bus instantlyzero transfer time. For sensitive gear that logs every power event, that's the only kind of protection that keeps the logs clean.

Inside, a DSP digital controller keeps the output voltage and frequency locked, regardless of what the input is doing. No analog drift over time, no recalibration needed. Just stable, precise power year after year.

Built for the Low-Voltage Battle

The headline spec is the input range: 60V to 145V, with a frequency tolerance of 40 to 70 Hz. At 60 volts, most UPS units have long since given up and are beeping miserably on battery. The RS-LV just keeps rectifying and regulating. That means you're not cycling the batteries during deep brownouts, which dramatically extends battery life. And because it can ride through swells up to 145V, it's equally comfortable when the voltage spikes after the factory next door shuts down its heavy machinery.

This wide tolerance also makes the RS-LV naturally generator compatible. Smaller backup generators often produce voltage and frequency that wander outside the tight window a fussy UPS demands. The RS-LV accepts that rough input, cleans it through the double-conversion stage, and delivers a stable output. No constant switching between battery and bypass while the genset warms up.

0.9 Output Power Factor and Real Load Handling

Output power factor is 0.9, so a 1000VA unit delivers 900 wattsuseful for modern IT loads with active PFC power supplies. It auto-senses 50 or 60 Hz, and output voltage is selectable, so the same unit fits different regional standards. The inverter has enough headroom to handle loads that aren't just polite servers: industrial controllers, motor-driven equipment, even some non-linear gear that makes lesser inverters distort. It's not a fragile office UPS dressed up in a rugged case.

Active PFC Keeps the Input Side Clean

On the input, active power factor correction pushes the power factor above 0.99. That's important when you're pulling power from an already-weak grid. A low power factor would draw extra reactive current, stressing the wiring and the upstream transformer even more. The RS-LV pulls current cleanly and in phase, reducing waste heat and harmonic pollution. For a site where every amp counts, that's real efficiency.

Hardware That Survives Harsh Environments

The main circuit board is FR4 glass fiber, double-sided, with conformal coating that shields against moisture, dust, and mild chemical corrosion. The chassis ventilation is designed to keep dust accumulation low without starving the airflow. This isn't an office UPS that's been painted a darker color and called "industrial." It's built from the PCB up to survive in unconditioned utility closets, dusty control rooms, and humid coastal shelters. If your UPS has died before from corrosion or conductive dust, the RS-LV is the answer.

Open to Your Control System

The controller has enough headroom and flexibility that it can be customized for integration with automatic transfer switches, building management systems, or custom supervisory platforms. If you need the UPS to talk a specific protocol or trigger a relay under certain conditions, that's usually possible without bolting on a pile of external converters.

Who Picks the RS-LV Over Other Options

This is the UPS for sites where the grid regularly falls below 90 volts but you don't needor don't want to pay forlithium batteries. If your brownouts are deep and frequent, the ultra-low input tolerance keeps you online without burning through lead-acid battery cycles. It's a cost-effective way to get true online protection in places that would kill a standard UPS in months. Common deployments include:

`Rural telecom shelters and microwave relay stations

`Factory control rooms on the end of a strained distribution line

`Water treatment plants and pumping stations with flaky utility feeds

`Remote mining or agricultural sites running on generator + weak grid

`Older commercial buildings where the mains voltage dips whenever the lift motor starts

If your input voltage rarely drops below 90V, you can probably get away with a standard wide-input UPS. But if you regularly see voltages in the 6080V rangeand you're tired of replacing batteriesthe RS-LV is the machine for the job.

The Short Version

The RS-LV Series High Frequency Online UPS gives you true double-conversion protection, DSP stability, and an input voltage window that goes down to 60Vall without forcing you into a lithium battery budget. It runs cool, tolerates generators, and is built to keep working when the grid barely is. If your power is more of a suggestion than a guarantee, this is the UPS that listens politely and keeps the lights on.
